My journey to ALX Empowered Journeys
As a mom to three neurodivergent children here on the Olympic Peninsula, I have spent years navigating the landscape of diagnosis, educational opportunities, social settings and the daily search for support. Like you, I have felt the weight of being the one who has to piece together a map for my children’s future, feeling overwhelmed, under prepared, and often lacking support.
I started ALX Empowered Journeys because I know those feelings well, and I also know the power of having someone in your corner who truly understands.
Connecting with your family, uniquely
My coaching style is built on radical acceptance, non-judgmental support, and a firm belief that joy can be found even within our greatest challenges, even when we need help to find it.
I am not here to offer "blanket responses" or clinical checklists that don't align with your unique reality, our families receive enough of that. Instead, my goal is to help ensure no family feels isolated, and every parent feels truly seen, understood, and equipped to thrive.
Experience and skills that empower
My qualifications include formal certification as a neurodiversity, autism, and ADHD coach, complemented by an academic background in psychology and special education. However, my most invaluable qualification is the journey I walk alongside my own family, with 3 amazing neurodiverse children. The lived hands on experience is one no text book, class room, medical paper or training will every be able to replicate.
When medical providers and school teams began asking to share our families experiences and journey. I recognized a responsibility to transform my personal experience into a dedicated service for our community.
